Just when we think the insane shortage of Apple iPhone 3G devices at stores of UK carrier o2 is over - they announce another shortage.
Just 4 stores in the UK are stocking the devices today, according to o2.co.uk
Store Name Address Opening Time Closing Time
Belfast - Castle Lane 14-16 Castle Lane, BELFAST, Northern Ireland, BT1 5DA 09:00 17:30
Omagh Unit 4 Main treet, OMAGH, Northern Ireland, BT78 1BA 10:00 17:30
Newry Unit 6, Buttercrane Shopping Centre, NEWRY, Northern Ireland, BT35 8HJ 10:00 21:00
Leicester - Gallowtree 37 Gallowtree Gate, LEICESTER, Leicestershire, LE1 5AD 09:00 18:00
It’s all getting a bit beyond a joke now… for personal use, I’ve finally made a decision on my mobile phone future and it’s the going to be a superior WM 6.1 device.
Why?
Simple - the Apple iPhone 3G doesn’t have a video camera, comes with an insulting 2mp static camera… and I can’t use it as a modem, which frankly is unacceptable.
Plus with a new mobile browser now available on WinMo devices, the slickness that Apple’s most wanted product yet in the UK is just a gadget too far…

Following the documented loss of 131 USB memory sticks from the UK Ministry of Defence since 2004 - as well as over 650 laptops! - there are calls for the devices to be banned from the workplace.
3 of the USB sticks this year alone held information classified as “secret”, with another 19 holding “restricted” data.
Previous information security breaches in British Government departments include:
* November 2007 - Revenue and Customs officials lost the personal details of 25 million people
* June 2008 - A computer was stolen from the office of
* January 2008 - The MoD revealed that one of its laptops - containing the details of 600,000 people - was stolen from a car
The British Governments plans for a National ID Database continue, however, despite continued failings with both internal policies and external contractors providing inaccurate services:
* The recent scandal over unmarked SATS exam papers for 11 year olds
* The ongoing and rarely fully reported embarrassment to the UK that is the National Project for Information Technology/Connecting for Health, an ill-conceived and poorly managed (at every level) attempt to get every UK citizen onto a national health database.
When will they learn?

* An excellent package, competitive across several price plans and in line with other phones and providers
* It does cool games, with Wii-like motion control
* Touchscreen, of course! What would have been the top reason last year has been superceded by those above, but it is still a revolutionary interface that continues to be mimicked
* Zoomed browsing. The web browsing ability of the iPhone is supreme
* It’s an MP3 player
* It’s an MP4 player
* It’s the most stylish gadget on the market
* Apple have allowed external developers to provide software for the device (although don’t expect any DRM-free MP3 players)
* It’s also a 2mp camera
* The Apple iPhone 3G is the must-have item of 2008

You have got to be kidding me - there is no way I would pay £35 quid ($77) for a mobile phone that would get disconnected after 2 months if I didn’t register it.
Yet with the BIC name on it, it seems the term “disposable” will be forever linked to the phone from Orange, which lets the usr perform the multitude of tasks from talking to listening to the radio.
Doesn’t even come with a built-in razor for restroom phonecalls…
