HTC and Google have joined forces to create a new mobile phone OS, and might just have developed the mobile platform to knock the iPhone into a hat – you can view the early evidence for yourself below.

What’s more the code is available, with Google’s Sergey Brin offering a share of a £10 million pot for the best developers APIs.

This is very exciting news, and could be just what lots of Windows Mobile users are waiting for – I’m certainly looking forward to seeing how this develops, and we’ll be watching with interest.
