Is the iPhone the “Techie’s Choice”?
Has the age of Windows Mobile come and gone? That’s certainly the feeling among my colleagues, who while impressed with the potential of my forthcoming HTC Touch Diamond (I’ll tell all about the Tocco later…) just start drooling at the chops as soon as the iPhones come out.
Currently in a building of around 40 people, 2 iPhones are being used. There’s an original iPhone in the development team, owned and used by a typically smug Apple user. And who can blame him? It’s a beautiful device, and stands out among the common or garden Nokias and SonyEricssons that proliferate. There are a ton of reviews at Test Freaks that will back me up on this.
On the phones, another guy has an iPhone 3G. He’s a bit of a tech gadget freak, but not your typical Apple user. Seems like he might be one pretty soon, however, as he has gone straight in at the deep end with his new toy, installing 3rd party apps and iTunes like a teenager. I can see him bringing in an iMac next week!
It’s been three years since I had a phone that wasn’t the best gadget in the office. I need my HTC Touch Diamond to feel like I’m in the it crowd again, the gadget gang, to feel like a proper techie again!
Or should I have just bought an iPhone 3G?
It’s difficult to judge..
