Why Not Choose the Sony Ericsson X10?

If you haven’t already seen the Sony Ericsson X10, it is quite a step up from the earlier Sony Ericsson X1 and X2 phones. Now powered by Android (version 1.6 and later), the Sony Ericsson X10 features a huge 1Gb of on board memory with an additional 8Gb of removable storage and a 4” 480×854 WVGA display.

This was particularly good news for me as I had previously used the old X1 model. It had some good points, like the solid slideout keyboard, for instance, but too many bad design elements. The Sony Ericsson X10 – now available from Dial-a-phone – dispenses with all of these design flaws and comes in an easy to use chassis with an 8.1MP camera on the reverse.

There is very little reason to choose an alternative Android handset – with a generous data connection you can connect to the Android Market and download a variety of games and apps. The Sony Ericsson X10 is one of the highest spec Android phones, and as such these apps will be well suited to the power of its 1GHz processor.

One of the best features on the Sony Ericsson X10 is the use of Timescape, which follows the general trend on mobile platforms to aggregate similar content types into one application. Timescape attempts to collect information from all of your social networking accounts into one easy to use view, saving you time switching between Facebook and Twitter apps, for example.
